I spent 2 months analysing and optimising the website using SEO and GEO best practices and current trends. Then did an overhaul of the Google Ads. After those changes I improved the organic and paid reach considerably.

I spent some time learning how the navigation works and improved the flow, groupings and reordered the structure to be more sensical for someone new to the site. On top of the ease of access I also made sure that the user experience is focused on more.
Creating a more logical flow and ux was needed so I increased internal linking as far as I could for the time being. Although I have already identified what needs to be changed with help of the developers.
Changed images to be more engaging, added video content in the form of both formal horizontal videos and vertical reel formats so that we could add social media like content that the newer generations will actually want to watch.
There used to be over 300 errors and warnings on the site that I cleared. I ensured that it is not only optimised for Search Engine Optimisation, but also for Generative Engine Optimisation.
I noticed a need for sales oriented pages that are meant to drive more conversions, especially for google ads and third party platforms. I created one for each study area with clear CTAs, emotional and logical triggers, funnel like structures and all the most important conversion drivers for the university.
